Pupil Premium

Supporting Our Pupil Premium Children at Marsh Gibbon CE School

At Marsh Gibbon, our vision is "Succeeding Together – fostering a love of learning within a nurturing Christian community to bring out the best in everyone." Rooted in our Christian values of love, compassion, respect, and honesty, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Pupil Premium funding is an important part of our commitment to this vision. Introduced in 2011, it provides additional resources for children who face challenges that may hinder their learning, such as those eligible for free school meals, looked-after children, or children from service families. Our goal is to ensure that all pupils, regardless of background, can reach their full potential.

Windows, Mirrors, and Doors
  • Windows: It opens windows to new possibilities, understanding that every child faces different barriers. This funding allows us to foster empathy, growth, and resilience—helping children see a future where they can succeed.
  • Mirrors: Our school reflects each child's unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Pupil Premium funding helps us recognize and support their individual journeys, ensuring they see themselves as capable and valued.
  • Doors: Pupil Premium provides the key to open doors to opportunity—through targeted support, enriching experiences, and emotional wellbeing initiatives—so that every child can access the full range of learning and development opportunities.

Our ApproachWe implement an evidence-based, tiered approach to Pupil Premium funding:
1.  Teaching:
Investing in high-quality teaching to inspire and challenge all learners.
2.  Targeted Support:
Providing tailored academic and social-emotional support to meet individual needs.
3.  Wider Opportunities:
Removing barriers related to attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and access to extracurricular activities—ensuring no child is left behind.

Our CommitmentWe are dedicated to using this funding to create a nurturing environment rooted in faith, where every child feels loved, valued, and supported to succeed. Our school’s Christian spirituality reminds us that God’s strength and love empower us to serve all children with kindness, perseverance, and hope.
If you believe your child may be eligible for Pupil Premium, please speak with the School Office in confidence. We are committed to ensuring that everyone receives their full entitlement, and that this support makes a meaningful difference in your child's life.
