Our Values

Picture
As a church school we embrace the spiritual side of life and learning. We see this as a personal journey as children, parents or staff. Our daily life and learning are guided by this belief; encouraging us all to be curious and ask meaningful questions about ourselves and the world around us.

Our Christian community is seen through everything we do - from the way we treat each other, to the way we work and learn together.  Our values of love, friendship, compassion, honesty, forgiveness and respect underpin our vision.

As a Church of England School, our strong links with the church and our village, enhance our learning and understanding of what it means to belong.

Through strong partnerships with the Diocese of Oxford, St Mary's Church (part of the Swan benefice, currently in vacancy following our long-standing rector's retirement), the Bernwode Liaison Group, and with generous support from the Ewelme Trust for our vulnerable children, we are a thriving Christian community where our vision of "Succeeding Together" is lived every day, bringing out the best in everyone.

Each week, children are recognised for showing the school values, which are based on the teachings of Jesus. Children are awarded with Value Bands during our Celebration Collective Worship on a Friday morning.
