Our Values

Our Christian community is seen through everything we do - from the way we treat each other, to the way we work and learn together.  Our values of love, respect, courage, integrity, faith, forgiveness and community underpin our vision.  The children know and recognise these values in themselves and others.

As a Church of England School, our strong links with the church and our village, enhance our learning and understanding of what it means to belong.  There are two members of the clergy working closely with the children and staff of Marsh Gibbon School - Reverend Hiscock and Reverend Mann.  They lead worship, contribute to religious education where appropriate and provide spiritual guidance for individuals.

Value                         Bible Quote
Love                          "Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud."  Corinthians 13.4
Respect                     "Do to others as you would have them do to you."  Matthew 7.12
Courage                     "Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you                                        wherever you go".  Joshua 1.9

Integrity                    "To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice."  Proverbs 21.3

Faith                         "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers                                     in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." Timothy 4.12
Forgiveness               "Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive others." Colossians 3.13

Community                "Two are better than one, because they have good reward for their toil.  For if they fall, one will                                       lift up his fellow."  Ecclesiastes 4.9
